BMR & TDEE Calculator

How many calories your body burns at rest (BMR) — and in a full day (TDEE) — using the Mifflin-St Jeor formula.

Daily energy needs

BMR
Maintain weight
Lose 0.5 kg/week
Gain 0.5 kg/week
Mifflin-St Jeor equation — modern gold standard for BMR. Lose/gain estimates assume a 500 kcal/day deficit or surplus = ~0.5 kg per week.

What this calculates

BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is the calories your body burns at complete rest just to keep you alive — heart beating, lungs breathing, cells maintaining. TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) is BMR multiplied by an activity factor — what you actually burn living your normal day. Eat at TDEE to maintain weight, below it to lose, above it to gain.
